Lindsay Lohan appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, for some reason, and of course the subject of her heading to rehab came up during the interview.
“I think this is an opportunity for me to focus on what I love in life. And I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s a blessing.”
Nice spin, but Dave peppered her with some questions she really didn’t appear to really like answering, such as, “How many times have you been in rehab?” to which Lohan replied, “Several.”
“Do you have addiction problems?” asked Dave.
“Now you sound like Dr. Phil,” replied Lohan.
“Yeah, I’m sorry. Is it, like, alcohol? Do you drink too much?” questioned Dave.
“We’ve discussed this in the past,” Lohan replied.
“Did we really? When did we discuss? Now I’m the one who’s having the blackouts. I ought to be at rehab. For the love of God, what is wrong with me?” joked Letterman.
At the end, Lohan who kept looking off camera, took Dave’s list of questions from his desk and read them herself with the one we all wanted to ask being, “Why are you always in trouble?”
Her answer, of course, was splendid, saying that she’s a “target” and “going through a phase.”
All in all though, she deserves some kudos for actually facing the questions. Maybe it’s a good first step. Eh, probably not.
