‘Mean Girls’ star Amanda Seyfried: A sexy retrospective

Sure, Amanda Seyfried is only 28, but this week we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Mean Girls so she’s been around longer than we realize making her the perfect choice for this week’s “Throwback Thursday.” As you will see from the pictures that follow, Amanda’s still as well as her, ahem, physique, have only gotten better and better as the years have passed by.

Little bit of trivia you may not know: Mean Girls was Amanda’s very first film so it’s anniversary has extra special meaning when it comes to her career. Also she auditioned for the role that eventually went to Rachel McAdams. Before Mean Girls, Amanda modeled, even appearing in ads with Leighton Meester of all people, and appeared on soaps like Guiding Light, As the World Turns, and All My Children.

While Mean Girls is now a cult hit, it was her role on the HBO drama, Big Love, from 2006 to 2011, that was her true breakout.

Previous Throwbacks: Stacy Keibler, Scarlett Johansson & more!

Over the years, Amanda has appeared in many films like Mamma Mia!, Jennifer’s Body, Red Riding Hood and Lovelace to name a few, but unfortunately none have been the blockbusters her talents deserve (thus her ranking number one on our 2011 most underrated women list). Perhaps her roles in Ted 2 or Pan, both scheduled for 2015, will finally see her get the credit she deserves.
