Perusing the internet for a living sounds like an ideal gig on the surface, but when you’re doing it for eight hours a day in the age of fidget spinners, LaVar Ball, and social justice warriors, it’s sometimes difficult to find a win.

But every now and then there’s a story that makes the internet great again, and boy do we have one here.

Joshua Robinson Levine is a freshman at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. He enrolled in a rhetoric and composition course that required him to write a 1,700 word essay on the Dakota Access Pipeline. Riveting stuff. The assignment called for each student to argue for a social issue of his/her choice. Joshua chose the DAPL as it relates to the   Native Americans and environmentalists protesting against it, of course.

The professor then asked the class to create a short presentation on the topic, using multimedia components as visual aids.

“Each student was required to integrate — preferably to create their own — visuals for their presentation,” Levine’s professor, who chose to remain anonymous, explained to BuzzFeed News. “Memes, tweets, and videos were encouraged.”

Welp. The freshman pulled a senior move and hit the class with a familiar face.

“My assignment was to make memes — I simply did as I was told,” he told BuzzFeed News.

Classmate Bernadette Villalpando said the whole class could not stop laughing.

“I don’t really know the presenter all that well. He’s kind of quiet and always gets to class late,” Villalpando said. “I wasn’t expecting something like that from him.”

Joshua’s professor even admitted that his student’s tactic was an effective method in drilling home his point, for lack of a better phrase.

“His presentation dealt with the challenge of determining what counts as ‘success’ when it comes to social-justice protests, how ‘success’ might be measured,” he explained.

“Needless to say, his opening meme grabbed the class’s attention.”

I guess I can pack up and start my weekend early. Joshua has won the internet for the day.
