Here’s a list that no college or university wants to rank on — the schools with the most drug and alcohol arrests.
Project Know has compiled the data and crunched the numbers from the Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education data, which only tracks campus crime reports, not those from the surrounding area. It doesn’t take into consideration anything that happens off-campus. So if a kid gets busted at a house off campus, and cops arrive to drag him or her downtown, that doesn’t count.
The information also considers the school size — per 1,000 students — so smaller schools with bigger arrest rates rank much higher than major schools. If these rankings were how we determined the National Championship game, yikes!
