This Video Makes the Strong Case That Madison Is the Best College Town in the Country

I've always been stunned by the crowd's energy during Badger football games—it's difficult to really tell on TV which fans are the loudest, because noise travels upward and football palaces are big, but Wisconsin is special. You can actually hear the undergrads singing “Build Me Up Buttercup” while beating Nebraska. And the Kollege Klub—No. 11 on our Best Bars for Bros—sounds like a hell of a spot to celebrate a Big 10 win. (All this flattery definitely isn't a ploy to get someone to fly me out to Madison, by the way. I've NEVER accepted bribes of that nature.)

Now, the Wisconsin Athletics department has released a video that's about as brilliant a recruitment tool as that time Dana Holgorsen directed the West Virginia I'm Shmacked clip. (Just guessing, Dana.) Humbly calling itself “The Nation's Best College Town- Madison, WI,” the video has probably already been seen by everyone in the Midwest, but if you haven't checked it out, prep yourself for many Scott Van Pelt quotes, copious shots of the Great Lakes, and chill-inducing football shots. Someone buy me a fucking ticket there already.
