U Of New Hampshire Students Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing A Man Then Sending Snapchats About The Attack

University of New Hampshire students Matthew Gibbons, 20, and Eric Denning, 21, were arrested early last Saturday morning and charged with stabbing fellow student, Dean Skelley, near campus. However it wasn’t until both Gibbons and Denning reportedly made an appearance on Snapchat sporting bloody hands, a knife and a “caption referring to stabbing someone” that police took them into custody:

Another student took the screengrab of the Snapchat and showed it to authorities, saying Gibbons and Denning were the people in the Snapchat, police said.

Gibbons faces a first-degree assault charge and posted $100,000 bail, according to Boston.com.

Denning faces second-degree assault and criminal liability charges and was released into a community corrections program, Boston.com said.(via)

A statement from the University of New Hampshire to WMUR reads that “Behavior of this type will absolutely not be tolerated and we have launched our own investigation into the incident.”

Dean Skelley was hospitalized on Saturday after the alleged attack. After going into surgery for two stab wounds, he is currently listed in stable condition.
