Pretty important update to the two videos of Tuscaloosa police beating two University of Alabama bros after dragging them out of their apartments, allegedly over a noise complaint. A full video of the incident has now been released, including the confrontation between the two residents of the apartment — Sigma Chi brothers at UA — and a Tuscaloosa police officer. Take note of the good ole boy officer who throws out a “SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH!” and a very crude “I don’t give a shit” when someone says “you know we have this all on video?” after going in the apartment.
After about a dozen police officers show up to the noise complaint, the men are dragged out of the apartment, tased, and beaten with a nightstick. The two men and screaming woman were taken into custody, including Brandon Williford, who faces the following charges:
Tuscaloosa police are investigating the incident, according to AL.com:
Tuscaloosa police Chief Steve Anderson told AL.com tonight he received the video this evening. “I have forwarded the video to our Internal Affairs investigators,” Anderson said. “They will begin an investigation tomorrow.”
After the chief spoke with AL.com, the Tuscaloosa Police Department released this statement: “The City of Tuscaloosa and the Tuscaloosa Police Department have been made aware of videos regarding an incident that occurred on November 8, 2015 at 3:19 a.m. that were a result of a loud music call. A full investigation of the circumstances that are depicted in these videos will be conducted and all appropriate measures taken to ensure the integrity of the Tuscaloosa Police Department in serving the citizens of Tuscaloosa.”
