The 2017 World Beard and Moustache Championships just wrapped up in Austin, Texas. This year’s competition ran from September 1-3, and it was a collection of the most immaculate facial hair on the planet.

For years now, Austin has been desperate to unseat Brooklyn as the Hipster Capital of America and by hosting the 2017 World Beard and Moustache Championships the city of Austin might have finally pulled level with Brooklyn.

This year’s host was the Austin Facial Hair Club, and the 2017 World Beard and Moustache Championships featured some of the most elaborate facial hair the world has ever seen. The last time I blogged about the World Beard Championships was back in 2015 when the event took place in Austria, and it looks like some of the same contestants are still around but they’ve truly stepped up their game (via RSVLTS):

This all kind of makes you want to grow it out this Fall, doesn’t it? If you’re like me then you’ve been keeping the face cleanly shaven all Summer because rocking a beard/moustache in the Summer heat can be unbearable. But, now that cooler air is upon us in the Northeast it’s time to consider growing it back out.
