Sony is reportedly “in early negotiations” with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah to direct Bad Boys For Life. Arbi and Fallah are best known for their hit FX series Snowfall and Black, a “Romeo and Juliet-style romance set in the gritty crime underbelly of Brussels.” The directors have another remake of an iconic buddy cop movie in the works because they are slated to direct Beverly Hills Cop 4. The film will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who has an incredible resume that includes Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop, Black Hawk Down, and Pirates of the Caribbean). The screenplay has already been written by Chris Bremner and Sony wants to start production in August.

The original Bad Boys movie debuted in 1995 and the sequel came out in 2003. Fans of the buddy cop flick can’t wait to see Will Smith back as Mike Lowrey and Martin Lawrence as fellow Miami detective Marcus Burnett. In addition to Bad Boys 3, there’s also a Bad Boys spin-off TV show in the works. The television show will star Gabriel Union who played Bennet’s sister and undercover agent Sydney “Syd” Burnett in Bad Boys II.
