There are rumors swirling that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 could be remastered in the near future. November 10, 2019, marks the 10th anniversary of one of the greatest Call of Duty video games of all-time. Activision just might be working on remastering the classic FPS and just in time for the 2019 release of the annual CoD game. Activision may even bundle the remastered Modern Warfare 2 with the new 2019 Call of Duty game. That kind gesture would most definitely rock.

This is of course just a rumor, both Activision and Infinity Ward has yet to confirm any of this exciting news. But one can dream. Call of Duty 2018 will be from Sledgehammer Games and Call of Duty 2019 will be done by Infinity Ward. Modern Warfare Remastered was released near its tenth anniversary, did get out the bugs and bring back the sweet gaming nostalgia. CoD games such as Black Ops and Black Ops 2 have been made as backwards compatible titles. However, all three of the Modern Warfare games have yet to become available as backwards compatible titles for Xbox One, so could they be saving these for remastered versions?

There’s no denying that fans want Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. There are several petitions on Change.org calling for Activision to make a remastered version and there are hundreds of signatures demanding the updated video game. Some of Call of Duty‘s most iconic maps could get a beautiful facelift including Favela, Afghan, and Highrise. Let’s hope this gets done.
