The latest major drug bust was just announced by the United States Coast Guard on Friday and it is going to send cocaine prices skyrocketing.
The U.S. Coast Guard announced that it had seized more than 12,000 pounds of cocaine. The USGC revealed that the six tons of cocaine were taken in international waters off the Pacific coasts of Mexico and Central and South America over the last three months. The coke is estimated to have a street value of $190 million.
The Coast Guard Cutter Seneca offloaded the major haul of drugs at the Coast Guard Sector Miami port off the MacArthur Causeway in Miami Beach, Florida.
The cutter Seneca seized approximately 2,800 pounds of cocaine, the Coast Guard Cutter Valiant seized about 1,000 pounds, the Coast Guard Cutter Tahoma seized about 2,500 pounds The Coast Guard Cutter Midgett seized approximately 5,700 pounds of cocaine.
“These down range counter-drug operations are a vital component to the Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security’s mission and our national security,” said Commander John Christensen of the cutter Seneca. “These operations enable us to extend our maritime borders, weaken the economic engine of Transnational Criminal Organizations, contribute to enhancing stability and security across our partner nations within Central America, and they combat the drug epidemic within our local communities.”
“I am exceptionally proud of this crew,” Cmdr. Christensen added. “Over the course of the last three months, they rose above the challenges of conducting operations at sea, persevered through many personal sacrifices and showed an unwavering dedication to serving our nation.”
For those in Miami, you might want to switch to Ritalin until cocaine prices come down because of the shortage.

Maybe this explains why there were all of those bricks of cocaine washing up on the shores of Cocoa and Beach Melbourne, Florida two weeks ago from Hurricane Dorian.
