Remember when your dad left your family on Christmas Eve when you were 8-years-old and never came back and then five years ago you found out that he left your family to start another family? Then you attempted to fill the void by making Danny Tanner your fictional dad and you watched Full House every week on ABC because you were severely lacking a father figure in your life. Mr. Tanner gave you everything your real dad never gave to you including fatherly advice, stable emotional support, and of course dad jokes. Well, great news because your make-believe dad is getting married!
What’s goin’ on? I’ll tell you what’s going on, Danny Tanner is engaged! With the girls, Uncle Jesse, and Uncle Joey out of the house, Dan the Man can finally enjoy some alone time with his future wife, Kelly Rizzo. Danny, err I mean Bob Saget, got engaged this week and announced the joyous news on Tuesday. In an Instagram post, Saget announced his engagement to the world with the help of Seinfeld producer George Shapiro and Katie Killean. The engagement photo was captioned: “Love the people in this picture. The most loving and legendary @George_Shapiro Katie Killean & of course my gal Kelly. In case you’re wondering, we were celebrating our engagement— and I know George and I will be very happy together.” Classic comedian Saget.
The 61-year-old actor and comedian has been dating Rizzo for at least five months after they were introduced through a mutual friend. This would be Saget’s second marriage, he was married to Sherri Kramer Saget for 15 years, but they divorced in 1997. Kelly is a 38-year-old travel blogger from Chicago who is the star of the online series titled Eat Travel Rock TV. Be careful Kelly, Danny is a lean, mean, hugging machine.
