Watch Eminem Deliver 9-Minute Three-Song Medley Including ‘Stan’ On ‘SNL’

Eminem brought the new and the old with his musical appearance on Saturday Night Live. He performed a stripped down version of his brand new single “Walk on Water” with piano and an orchestra to kick off the 9-minute-long, three-song medley. Then he delivered two classic Em joints with 2000’s “Stan” and 2010’s “Love the Way You Lie.” All of the songs have a female singer for the hook, whether it be Beyonce, Dido, or Rihanna, but on this night Skyler Grey sang in all three songs and did so remarkably. It’s no surprise that Grey sung “Walk on Water” and “Love the Way You Lie” so extraordinarily well, she co-wrote both songs.

The closing lyrics to “Walk on Water,” which is from his upcoming album that is rumored to be titled Revival, end with “I’m godlike / Me and you are not alike / Bitch, I wrote ‘Stan.'” That’s when the 45-year-old Detroit rapper made a segway into the Marshall Mathers LP smash hit. Chance the Rapper hosted this week’s SNL. Fans thought the new album Revival was going to be released on Friday, but the day came and went without a new Eminem LP. We should expect Revival to be released this week. We hope.
