Now let’s tackle internet service providers and how they rate as far as customer service goes.

To determine which ISPs are the best, HighSpeedInternet.com surveyed customers across the country to find out which provider excel and in which areas. Here’s some of what they discovered.

— Customers rated RCN highest for overall satisfaction. Along with being the highest-ranked overall, they were also the highest-ranked provider in three individual categories: installation and setup; monthly bill; and tech support and customer service. The rest of the ISPs were ranked as follows (in order from second to twelfth): AT&T, Suddenlink, Optimum, Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox, Windstream, CenturyLink, Frontier, Mediacom, and CABLE One.

— Optimum customers are the most satisfied with their internet speeds, with RCN and Xfinity following VERY close behind. They were followed, in order, by AT&T, Cox, Suddenlink, Spectrum, Windstream, Mediacom, CenturyLink, CABLE One, and Frontier.

— RCN customers are the most satisfied with their monthly bill. Windstream and AT&T came in second and third respectively in this year’s survey.

— Suddenlink and RCN customers are the most satisfied with their installation and setup, followed by Spectrum, Xfinity, AT&T, and Optimum.

— Optimum customers are the most satisfied with their internet’s reliability, with a wide gap between them and number two, Xfinity. Six out of the top seven spots were cable internet services. AT&T, which came in fourth, was the only non-cable internet provider.

— RCN customers are the most satisfied with their provider’s technical support and customer service. They were followed by Suddenlink, AT&T, Spectrum, Cox, and Optimum.

— 57% of respondents still bundle their internet service with TV service. Optimum had the highest percentage of bundlers at 72%, and Cable One had the lowest at 36%.

Hope that helps and happy internetting!
