The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Anime Opening That You Didn’t Even Know You Needed In Your Life

While we wait for the Game of Thrones to return, which isn’t until sometime in 2019, we have this incredibly well-produced video reimagining the hit fantasy show’s opening if it was transformed into anime. Instead of the map of Westeros being brought to life with animations of the buildings and cities growing as seen in the original opening sequence, French animator Malec beautifully recreated the Game of Thrones in the style of anime. Not only does Malec create spellbinding visuals, but the talented animator also included an exciting new theme song.

The revamped fan-made opening credits have everything from Jon Snow to Daenerys Targaryen to the Night King to direwolves to dragons to the Hound and Brienne obliterating an army of White Walkers. Nobody tell Tormund. The high-energy song, which is by KronoMuzik, features lyrics such as “Winter hating love, sex is free.” Deep. That’s deep man.

In other Game of Thrones news, the directors for the final season of the immensely popular TV show have been revealed and there are some fan favorites including showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. See all of the directors for Season 8 HERE.
