Breaking up is hard to do. Unless you’re a cold and callous monster. Then it’s no big deal.
The problem with most breakups is people just don’t know how to end a relationship. Face-to-face is always best. The phone is fine if it’s the only way. Never break up over text. And a Spotify playlist?!? Come on! Have a heart!
Men and women could learn a great deal from this guy. He was forced to break up with his gym because they wouldn’t accept his cancellation over the phone.
Planet Fitness wouldn’t let me cancel over the phone, and required a certified letter to cancel since I live in a different state now. I dropped this in the mail today.

Sure, he was breaking up with a gym and not a real person, but his letter to Planet Fitness is warm, humorous and hopefully got him out of his stupid contract.
“I know I’ve been distant, but it’s because I’ve changed. I have different needs now, and to be frank… you really haven’t changed at all.”
So true. Most gyms stay exactly the same.
