Preserved 50,000-Year-Old Ice Age Lion Found And To Be Brought Back To Life ‘Jurassic Park’ Style

Remember how the scientists in Jurassic Park were able to extract dino DNA from a dumb mosquito that got stuck in tree sap and make brand new dinosaurs? Real-life scientists have found something even better than dinosaur blood hidden in amber to recreate an ancient creature – an actual ancient creature. Researchers have discovered a preserved cave lion cub from the Ice Age and want to reincarnate it a la Jurassic Park stlye. YES! DO IT! TODAY!

The extinct cave lion cub was discovered on the bank of the Tirekhtykh River in the Abyisky district of Yakutia in Siberia, Russia. The area is always frozen, which allowed it to be “perfectly preserved” and kept it from decaying. The lion, which is believed to be 50,000-years-old, can be seen with its paw resting on its head. The lion is 9-pounds and about a foot-and-a-half-long. Scientists surmise that the small cub is about eight weeks old, but are unsure whether it is a male or female because newborn lions do not have noticeable sex characteristics.

“It is a perfectly preserved lion cub, all the limbs have survived. There are no traces of external injuries on the skin,” said Dr. Albert Protopopov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Sakha. “The preservation is so good that it raises hopes of cloning the species back to life.” DO IT!

We’re still waiting for scientists from Harvard University who said they will attempt to resurrect a woolly mammoth. That was nine months ago but said they would de-extinct the 4,000-year-old woolly mammoth within two years. Unless wet blankets poo-poo the brilliant idea. Wet blankets such as Dr. Ian Malcolm, who has already commented on the possible reincarnation of the previously extinct lion from 50,000 years ago.

Fucking Dr. Ian Malcolm always takes the fun out of everything with his chaos theory bullshit.
