Ivana Trump, The Donald’s first wife and the real First Lady if you ask her, just published a memoir called Raising Trump. In it, her daughter Ivanka Trump says that she went through a punk phase at some point in the 1990s. Yes, you read that right.

In an excerpt from the book, printed in New York Magazine, Ivanka, real name Ivana (yes, she has the same name as her parent, just like her brother Donald, only without the Junior), told this fascinating tale…

During my punk phase in the nineties, I was really into Nirvana. My wardrobe consisted of ripped corduroy jeans and flannel shirts. One day after school, I dyed my hair blue. Mom wasn’t a fan of this decision. She took one look at me and immediately went out to the nearest drugstore to buy a $10 box of Nice’n Easy. That night, she forced me to dye my hair back to blond. The color she picked out was actually three shades lighter than my natural color… and I have never looked back!

Well, that last part isn’t entirely true as these pics from 1999 and 2001, well after Kurt Cobain passed away…

Another thing that might not be 100% true is that Ivanka really went through a “punk phase” as she called it. At least not if the internet’s reactions are any indication…
