Hilarious New Instagram Account Imagines What It’d Be Like If People Still Had AIM Away Messages In 2017

Remember AIM? Remember girls in high school leaving messages like “sO mUcH dRaMa” or “so fucking ready to be a senior” as their away messages? Now you can relive those millennial glory days.

The best thing on the Internet this summer is an Instagram account that will make you nostalgic for your old AIM days while simultaneously keeping you up to date on current events. @modern_Away answers the question of what your away message would look like today. They make fun of Soul Cycle and Crossfit, along with people who used to post Dashboard Confessional lyrics. Beyond away messages, @modern_away also illustrates some modern day celebrity AIM conversations and buddy profiles of Taylor Swift and Kylie Jenner “if they signed back on.”

I miss AIM. You probably do to. We have a gazillion different ways to message each other, but something about AIM chats on a clunky old computer was so much fun.
