2017 has seen its fair share of highs and lows. It’s been a long year and that’s something we can all agree on. The dating app Hater is brilliant in that it matches people based on the things they hate the most instead of based on their mutual interests. With the idea being that people can bond over shared mutual hatred easier than they bond over their shared love of pizza, or tacos (stuff everybody likes).

Hater has kept detailed logs of the most hated and loved things of 2017 which they’ve shared in an infographic on Mashable. Most of the ‘Most Hated’ topics make sense given that people using the Hater App are pretty likely to be millennials. It all seems to align properly. Except for DJ Khaled. I don’t get the hate there. I saw him perform at a club in South Beach back in August and the dude can straight up throw down on a DJ set. He killed it. Anyways, before I get too sidetracked here are the most loved and hated things of 2017 according to Hater:

Honestly, when’s the last time you met somebody who was a really, really big Kid Rock fan? I saw some 50+ year old at the gym a few months ago wearing a ‘Kid Rock For Senate’ t-shirt but I’m fairly certain that was just a shitty and embarrassing political stance and not actually an expression of love for Kid Rock’s music. I honestly think I witnessed more positivity towards Hawaiian Pizza in 2017 than I did Kid Rock, and that’s truly saying something.
