Everyone on this planet has dealt with a scammer in some way or another. Scammers usually give up pretty quickly if you never respond, and our email spam filters are pretty advanced these days but occasionally a scam slips through the cracks. If you’ve ever made the mistake of responding to a scammer’s email then you already know how impossible it is to get rid of them. That’s why ‘Re:Scam’ from New Zealand is so damn brilliant.
This artificial intelligence chatbot is built to troll the scammers. It’s a hyper-sophisticated AI email program designed to create dynamic personalities and trolls the scammers from now until the end of time. Once a scammer thinks they’ve got a lead they’ll dedicate their time and resources to extracting money or data from that person. Re:Scam is particularly brilliant because it’ll keep every piece of shit email scammer on the planet occupied and these scammers won’t have a clue as to what’s happening.
