A few weeks ago, the creators of “Rick and Morty” got their hands on the elusive spicy, yet sweet Szechuan dipping sauce that McDonald’s debuted back in 1998 to promote the Disney movie “Mulan.” This week, co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon got to taste the special sauce that they would travel back in history to procure. They poured the precious sauce from the huge jug into small cups so they could easily dip their Chicken McNuggets in all that goodness.
The creators of “Rick and Morty” finally were able to enjoy the Szechuan sauce that came from a portal from an alternate dimension where it’s always 1998. With the soundtrack to Disney’s “Mulan” in the background, the “Rick and Morty” team sampled the sugary sauce, and the reviews were in. “It’s really good, I swear to god,” Roiland said. “Bring it back please so we can all die of diabetes.”
