Simpsons did it! Again. The Simpsons have gotten quite the lengthy resume for predicting the future. They’ve eerily predicted Disney buying Fox, Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl halftime show, Donald Trump becoming the President of the United States, and more. The latest prognostication by The Simpsons is unbelievable. The creators of The Simpsons were able to foresee the U.S. winning the gold medal for curling at the Winter Olympics.

A 2010 episode of The Simpsons titled “Boy Meets Curl,” Homer and Marge Simpson were joined by Seymor Skinner and his mother Agnes on the Team USA curling squad. From the 21st season of the hit TV show, the episode featured the United States winning the gold medal in curling at the Winter Olympics. The animated TV show said that the U.S. would beat Sweden in mixed-gender doubles curling. Here are the crazy parts. The mixed-gender doubles curling wasn’t a thing in 2010 and only made their Olympic debut at the PyeongChang Olympics in 2018. In this year’s Olympics, the U.S. won their first ever gold medal in the sport against… Sweden. Simpsons writer Rob LaZebnik, who wrote the episode, was proud to point out the positive prognostication.
