Unless you had an incredibly deprived childhood, Capri Sun was a lunchtime staple. I still don’t know what Pacific Cooler is actually supposed to taste like, but that didn’t stop me from squeezing the pouch as hard as possible to make sure I got to taste every single delicious drop of that sweet, sweet nectar.
My tastes have matured a bit since I was in middle school, and I’ve swapped Capri Sun for more adult-oriented beverages. However, a new company is combining the best of both worlds by marketing whiskey packaged in game-changing Capri Sun-esque pouches.
Whiskey Me is the brainchild of Tom Aske and Tristan Stephenson, the founders of Black Rock, a whiskey bar located in London. For $10 a month, you can have a 1.7-ounce package of single malt scotch delivered to your door. The service features whiskeys from a variety of distilleries, including Aberfeldy, Macallan and Royal Lochnagar.
The best part? The pouches have a twist-off top, which means you won’t have to wildly stab at them with a straw in order to get a taste of what lies inside. The worst part? Whiskey Me is currently only available in the United Kingdom, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some international expansion at some point in the future.
