Cooking shows are like watching sports for people who don’t give a shit about sports: you have your favorite player/team, there’s a countdown clock and it’s perfectly normal to polish off a chicken finger platter while watching.
Not every cooking show is as competitive like Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay though – some are more informational, like Netflix’s original series Chef’s Table, and others even have a reality television gimmick thrown into them like Next Food Network Star.
All in all, Netflix is really stepping up their catalogue game when it comes to food-oriented shows, and I can’t even begin to tell you how fucking stoked I am about it.
