See How Adam Sandler Movies Are Eerily Connected In ‘The Sandlerverse’

You could shit on Adam Sandler pretty easily, and you’d be justified in taking a hot, steamy turd on some of his most recent “efforts.” The Ridiculous 6, Pixels, The Cobbler, Blended, Grown Ups 2, Jack and Jill and Zookeeper aren’t exactly reincarnations of Caddyshack as comedy classics. However, from the mid 1990s to the mid 2000s Sandler produced some outstanding comedies including Airheads, Billy Madison, The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy, Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds and 50 First Dates. But did you know that the Adam Sandler cinematic universe is eerily connected?

Video editing mastermind Shawn Kohne, who you may remember from the tremendous Game of Thrones/Princess Bride mashup and “Jim Carrey Falling,” painstaking explored a plethora of Adam Sandler movies (Even the shitty ones like Click and Blended) and how they are connected in “The Sandlerverse.”

Shawn traced the tracks of the lovable lunch ladies, Townie (The “You can do it!” guy) and Farmer Fran. And it’s not just movies linking all of these imaginary worlds, it’s also Saturday Night Live and Sandler’s comedy albums.

It’s not really a stretch since Sandler founded Happy Madison Productions and regularly employs his friends in the movies, such as Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Allen Covert and even Rob Schneider.

Jump down the rabbit hole and immerse yourself in the Sandlerverse.
