With last weekend being a holiday, no one noticed there was no Game of Thrones on Sunday night. That will change this week though, when we are home, away from friends, on Sunday night, and realize we can’t get our fix.
And it’s going to be a long while before we get a hit of Thrones.
But you can be slightly satiated by this delightfully well done video by Cinefix. It shows all the amazing ways in which the director of ‘The Battle of the Bastards,’ Miguel Sapochnik, built tension and suspense and drama in a fight whose outcome was already well known.
We knew Jon was going to win, we knew Rickon was going to die, and yet, all these things blew our minds. That’s good television, and watching the “why” of it is almost as good as the actual episode.
