You know how when your friends are drunk and they’re trying to tell you a story, but the story ends up just rambling along without a plot, characters or setting? This is a lot like that. Cumberbatch stands up there twiddlin’ his award around in his hands, makes one coherent joke and then starts talking about rearing children, how Downton Abbey is a piece of shit and how he had too much to drink before going up there.
