So news broke today that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are divorcing, after being together for over 10 years, and married for two. Jolie is reportedly spearheading the initiative, as the actress filed papers on Monday citing irreconcilable differences and asked for physical custody of the couple’s six children.
Initial reports claim that Angelina was upset with Brad’s parenting methods, anger issues, and his constant weed and alcohol usage.
However, Page Six now reports that Jolie filed for divorce after hiring a private investigator to tail her husband, uncovering affairs with an A-list actress and Russian prostitutes.
“He’s in the throes of some insane midlife crisis, and Angie is fed up,’’ the source said. “She hired a private eye because she felt that he was fooling around with her on the set, and it turns out, he was. And that was the final straw.”
The “well-placed” source claims the private investigator found that the 52-year-old Pitt was having an affair with Marion Cotillard, the co-star of his upcoming World War II movie Allied.
You may remember Marion from Inception and The Dark Knight Rises and her relationship with her husband and four-year-old son. She’s one of my favorite actresses, for what it’s worth.
