Call of Duty turned to the hottest social media platform to tease their next installment of the legendary first-person shooter video game franchise. In a recent update to Activision’s Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2, there was something very odd on in various posters from the 2012 game throughout the multiplayer maps, Snapchat ghosts. The update was on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but not PC.
Players started to zoom in on the Snapchat ghost and it revealed a QR code. When the code is scanned into the app on your phone,‘callofduty’ is added to your friends list on Snapchat. That’s where gamers found this vague video, surprisingly it wasn’t of a veiny dick.

The account has this single grainy video with a blinking eye, a forest and then one lone tree that appears to be in the snow. There is a voice insisting you to “listen only to the sound of my voice.”
It makes sense for the next chapter of CoD to be Black Ops 3 since it is Treyarch’s turn for the series and they created the original Black Ops as well as Black Ops II. Developers Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer and Treyarch take turns creating each year’s CoD.
This is a mysterious campaign and based on previous marketing in years past by Activision, you should expect more updates in the coming weeks.
