It’s no secret that some people will do anything in order to become famous— if you need proof, you don’t need to look any further than the Kim Kardashian origin story. However, there are plenty of other ways you can increase your odds of stepping into the spotlight that don’t involve sharing your most intimate moments with the world.

While plastic surgery would appear to be the procedure of choice for most people vying for fame, there are other, less dramatic adjustments that you can make. One of those is changing your name, which is a strategy a number of celebrities have employed for various reasons over the years- including a few who will probably surprise you.
