In Jurassic World, Chris Pratt is Owen Grady, a velociraptor trainer at the dinosaur theme park located on Isla Nublar. One of the more interesting screencaps from the movie and/or the trailer is the one above of Pratt calming three raptors. The image was an inspiration to zookeepers everywhere.
Apparently the meme first went viral by a Tumblr user named Talia, who said, “My bestie is a zoo keeper, and she told me that because of Jurassic World it has become a craze in the keeper community to re-enact Chris Pratt.”
Then regular zookeepers took the idea and ran with it, but with non-Jurassic era creatures. The Internet adored it and soon the hashtags #JurassicZoo and #JurassicZookeeper was everywhere.
They’re all splendidly done, but I must deduct points from those who didn’t put the effort into investing in a vest to really portray the character.
