Dave Grohl Makes Huge Announcement Regarding Future With Foo Fighters With The Help Of Nick Lachey

Some of most esteemed publications in music declared that the Foo Fighters were splitting up so that Dave Grohl can pursue a solo career.

The rumor picked up steam when Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins told Artisan News that the band was going on an “indefinite i-hate-us” (5:14 mark). This seemed very feasible since they went on a “hiatus” back in September of 2008, and did not tour for three years. They returned with rigor and vengeance in 2011 with their tremendous Wasting Light album, as well as a world tour. They took another hiatus in October of 2012, then in 2014, they released their seventh album, Sonic Highways. They celebrated their 20th anniversary by going on another world tour, where Grohl broke his leg. Then at the of the tour they released a surprise EP called Saint Cecilia.

The idea took off when Grohl killed it during the “In Memoriam” segment at the Academy Awards.

Then on Wednesday night the iconic rock band set the record straight on the breakup speculation, with the help of Nick Lachey.

So it seems that once again that Foo Fighters are taking a hiatus, but definitely not breaking up, so stop saying that they’re breaking up.
