I can say with honesty that I don’t know anyone who didn’t enjoy Deadpool. The only people I know who didn’t like it haven’t seen it yet, so they can’t even form their own opinion. And even most of them admit that they probably would have liked the movie if they had seen it. If it wasn’t for the violence, it would definitely be a generation defining movie. Sure, that’s an unwarranted hot take, but you can quote me on it regardless.
And, since Deadpool is the gift that keep on giving, someone was able to mashup his film and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Super-powered assassin meets hedonistic burnout? Sounds like a match made in Heaven, if Heaven was full of horrible fictional people. Which, I guess, it could? Never been.
