Donnie Wahlberg Gave A Very Generous $2,000 Tip At Waffle House

One would imagine that Waffle House employees aren’t getting whopping tips on the regular. The Texas Melt Sausage Egg & Cheese is like $4, and maybe they add a side of “All the Way” hashbrowns which is like five bucks. You have to pray that either there is someone intoxicated enough to incorrectly calculate too much of a tip or hope that a big baller comes in and splurges on the Ribeye & Eggs that’s like $10 and change then gets pecan waffles for dessert. These lucky Waffle House employees were just so lucky to meet Donnie Wahlberg, which might be the first time that has ever been written. They weren’t lucky to meet him because he is in New Kids on the Block, but rather because he hooked them up with a very generous tip.

The 47-year-old “Blue Bloods” actor visited a Waffle House in Charlotte, North Carolina late Wednesday night. Like most people who visit a Waffle House late at night, it appears that Donnie may have been at the roadside restaurant to get some greasy nourishment and maybe eat off a hangover. Wahlberg left a $2,000 tip on an $82.60 bill ($82?!?! How many people did he feed 10?). I’m not extremely proficient in mathematics, that is why I write, but I believe that is in the neighborhood of 2422% tip. Not too shabby.

Wahlberg captioned the photo: “My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars– for years!. So, when I walk into a #WaffleHouse, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens! Thanks to the team at @wafflehouseofficial Charlotte, NC! ❤️”

He even handed out backstage passes to the NKOTB (I really wish I didn’t know that acronym) concert.

In June, Wahlberg visited a Waffle House in Edgewood, Maryland, and left a nice $500 tip for three servers to split. Those Wahlberg boys seem like good kids.
