The ‘Dazed And Confused’ Sequel Trailer Is Here And It Looks Like A Real Good Time

Booze, drugs, girls and adolescent hijinks are aplenty in the the first trailer for Everybody Wants Some, Richard Linklater’s twenty-two-years-later sequel for the cult classic Dazed and Confused, which is set to premiere at SXSW this coming March (the 11th if we’re being specific).

Much like the 1993 film it follows-up, Everybody Wants Some features a slew of not very well-known actors and actresses, but doesn’t appear to fall short at all when it comes to the rambunctiousness that made the likes of a young Jason London, Wiley Wiggins and Matthew McConaughey’s performances so endearing in the original flick.

This time, though, instead of being set in the 1970s like its predecessor, Everybody Wants Some picks up in the 1980s with a story centered around a college baseball team with a knack for partying (and hazing freshman, of course) very hard. Here’s your first glimpse.

Everybody Wants Some will star Blake Jenner, Ryan Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, J. Quinton Johnson, Wyatt Russell, Zoey Deutch, Glen Powell and Will Brittain. Being that Richard Linklater is again involved, and the fact that it’s taken 22 years for the sequel to be made, we can only hope it’s been worth the wait.

It’s set to hit theaters in April 2016.
