While everyone is trying to go to a galaxy far, far away, Star Trek is attempting to steal some of the shine away from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The first trailer for Star Trek Beyond has hit the small screen only four days before Star Wars hits the big screen.
J.J. Abrams left directing the huge sci-fi franchise to work on an even grander sci-fi franchise. Abrams directed Star Trek Into Darkness, but had to pass up Star Trek Beyond to make The Force Awakens (Abrams did stay on as a producer of Star Trek Beyond though). But Trekkies don’t fret because the movie is in the completely capable hands of Justin Lin. The impressive Lin was the producer and/or director for Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Fast Five (2011) and Fast & Furious (2009).
With Sabotage by the Beastie Boys blaring, Kirk and the gang seem to have to evacuate the Enterprise. But then they escape to an alien planet where it appears that everybody wants to kill them.
Star Trek Beyond opens July 22 and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and Idris Elba.
My question is, who’s the hot alien that looks like an adult starlet who wore way too much mascara on a day she attempted to orally pleasure the well-endowed Lexington Steele? After further research, it appears that alien is the lovely Sofia Boutella, an actress who was in Kingsman: The Secret Service. Will Kirk boink this alien too? Can’t blame him if he does.
