Before Josephine was a prostitute on Game of Thrones she was a prostitute in real life. And ironically, her role of pretending to be a prostitute helped her get out her real world life of being a prostitute.
“Game of Thrones saved me from a life of prostitution, and has made me a much stronger person,” she told the Daily Mail.
Josephine revealed that she was working as a prostitute and making adult films under a different name when she saw an advertisement for GoT. She tried out and snagged a role on the hit TV show. However, her life before getting a part in Game of Thrones was scary, dark and almost Sansa-like.
Josephine attended 24 different primary schools and was put into foster care aged 12. She was put in a home where a family friend groomed her, got her hooked on marijuana and cocaine by the age of 14.
“He raped me two years later and then pimped me out to his friends,” Josephine said. “I was too frightened to tell anyone because he threatened to bury me in the garden if I did.”
Things are going much better for Josephine these days and she’ll be back on Game of Thrones this season for the first time in over a year after she was dragged from Petyr Baelish’s brothel by the Faith Militant. Even more great news for Josephine has signed up for the next season of the show.
