‘Game Of Thrones’ Theory Involving The BATTLE OF THE CENTURY With The Mountain Was Basically Confirmed Last Night

SPOILERS AHEAD

We’ve told you about Cleganebowl before – the theory that The Hound will be chosen as the Faith’s warrior against The Mountain in Cersei’s combat trial, finally giving The Hound a chance to kill his hated brother like he’s always wanted. And as I wrote back in 2015, bonus points are awarded for fulfilling Maggy the Frog’s prophecy:

Assuming this happens, Sandor will finally have a chance to fight his older brother, Gregor, and for BONUS points since The Hound is the “little brother” to Gregor it would fulfill Maggy the Frog’s “Valonqar” prophecy against Cersei. Don’t know what prophecy I’m talking about? That’s because the flashback to Cersei meeting Maggy in season 6 didn’t show the whole thing, with a missing part of it being that Cersei will die at the hands of a Valonqar, which is High Valyrian for “little brother.” Could mean Jaime, could mean Tyrion, or could mean The Hound. We don’t know yet.

Well this theory is OBVIOUSLY happening since last night The Hound returned to Game of Thrones, ending with a cliffhanger of him marching off to slaughter members of the Brotherhood Without Banners. As for whether or not he kills The Mountain or is killed himself, or if it’ll end up fulfilling the Maggy the Frog prophecy…we’ll just have to wait. But this shit is definitely happening, and y’all better put on your big boy pants because when it hits it’s going to fucking explode.

Get hype, bitches.
