Looks Like ‘Game Of Thrones’ Will Reveal Who Jon Snow’s Real Parents Are Next Week, Confirming This Fan Theory

SPOILERS AHEAD: YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

So now that we’ve gotten over the fact that Jon Snow is still alive and have already tackled the “Snowbowl” theory involving Jon and a certain other highly despised character, let’s rewind all the way back to July 8th, 2014, when I posted a story titled “Sean Bean Confirmed That ‘Game Of Thrones’ Fan Theory About Jon Snow’s Parents.” If we’re being picky, I should’ve had it read “Basically Confirmed” since he, y’know, only directly said that he’s “obviously not Jon Snow’s dad” and didn’t legitimately confirm the theory, but that’s good enough for me.

The theory I’m talking about, in case you haven’t heard of it yet, is R + L = J, which I normally would go on to explain…but this video does a much better job than I:

Got it?

Now take a look at the preview clip for next week:

Did you catch it? That last scene, where it looks like we’ve got a young Ned Stark facing off against Arthur Dayne at the Tower of Joy…IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!!!

Not ONLY do we get to see what went down at the Tower of Joy, something that even the books have kept secret (we only hear about it from Ned Stark’s chapters, and even then he’s vague despite the fact we’re reading his internal monologue), but we finally get to find out once and for all who Jon Snow’s parents are, and whether or not he’s part Targaryen, part Stark.

All aboard the hype train motherfuckers, CHOO CHOO CHOO we in this shit for the LONG HAUL.
