The folks over at Screen Junkies are masterful at cutting down the most critically-acclaimed films at the knees, aimed at making us reconsider how we ever enjoyed a film with so many glaring flaws. It was only a matter of time until they skewered a film that consisted of Leonardo DiCaprio groaning and grunting in anguish for three-hours, all while reminding us time and time again that nature is beautiful and Tom Hardy has a hard-on for pelts. The Revenant took home Academy Awards for Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Cinematography and was unquestionably a breakthrough in filmmaking, but when torn down to its lowest common denominator, it’s easy to envision Steve-O cuddling up with Leo in that horse carcass.
