We already know that Jared Leto was pretty much a maniac on the set of the Suicide Squad movie.
He reportedly never broke character the entire time the movie was filming becoming The Joker 24/7. Will Smith, who plays Deadshot, said he worked with Leto for six months and never actually met him.
He sent a live rat to Margot Robbie who plays Harley Quinn and a set of bullets to Smith.
Plus, to top it all off, he sent a dead pig to the entire cast.
But that was nothing compared to what he just revealed on Tuesday.
On Tuesday at CinemaCon he told E! News this bit of insanity: he sent used condoms and anal beads to everyone in the cast.
You read that right. Used condoms and anal beads. So, uh, why would you do that, Jared?
“I did a lot of things to create a dynamic to create an element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there,” the Oscar winner told me while promoting the movie at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. “The Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space or boundaries.”
So, uh, yeah, that makes total sense now, right?
But wait, it somehow gets worse…
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Killer Croc, says he received “sticky Playboy magazines” from Leto, but he also revealed what happened when the dead pig arrived.
“That was a good gift because it had the effect of unifying us as a group because then it became us against him,” Akinnuoye-Agbake said. “We sent the messenger back with the dead pig and our own personalized message. It got the ball rolling.”
Notice he said THE PIG was a good gift, not the, yechh, sticky Playboy magazines.
As a wise woman said to me when she heard this news, maybe do less next time, huh, Jared?
Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5 and it better be good.
