Here’s Jason Momoa Reminds Us All What It Means To Be A Man While Throwing Axes And Drinking Guinness

Jason Momoa is best known for playing Khal Drogo on HBO‘s Game of Thrones. He was the man married to Daenerys Stormborn (Khaleesi), and the driving force behind Dany turning into the ultimate badass on HBO‘s hit show. This is the role he’s best known for even though he hasn’t been on Game of Thrones since the 2011-2012 seasons, but his career is still poised to explode.

Next year he’ll be starring in the lead role of Aquaman, which is shaping up to be one of the biggest films of 2018 (the movie is currently still in pre-production). He’ll also be starring as Aquaman in Justice League, which is set to come out this year. But last night Jason Momoa was on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote Frontier, a TV series set in the late 18th century Fur Trade in North America.

I haven’t seen Frontier yet but it sounds like Momoa plays a total fucking badass. A true outdoorsman who lives off the land, and does things like throw axes at bears for survival. In order to remind us all what masculinity actually looks like, Jason brought a collection of his handmade axes onto Kimmel last night and taught Jimmy and Guillermo how to throw those axes.

I’ll be honest with you, I don’t think I’ve thrown an axe at a tree since I was in the Boy Scouts of America. It’s been FOREVER. And watching this clip made me want to hop on Amazon and pick up one of these badass Sog Throwing Axes ($39). There’s something so cathartic about tossing that hatchet and getting it to stick in the wood, and I think it’s time I revisited my hatching tossing youth…What about you?
