Comedy Central roasts have a reputation for being pretty edgy affairs, with the network occasionally needing to cut the most offensive jokes before the specials airs.
That happened at the Roast of Rosanne, where a Jeff Ross joke about The Dark Knight Rises shooting in Aurora got removed.
At the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber, Ross was at it again, with the network announcing today they would cut some jokes about the late Paul Walker. In attendance at the roast was Walker’s co-star in the Fast & Furious franchise, Ludacris. Ross pointed one barb right his way.
“‘Move bitch, get out of the way!’ is what Paul Walker should’ve told that tree. Too soon? Too fast? Too furious?” – Jeff Ross
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ludacris did not like that burn of his friend. (Oh shit. Is that a Paul Walker joke I just made?)
After the show, a source tells THR, rapper Ludacris was incensed.
A visibly offended Ludacris even motioned to cut at one point during the taping.
The roast airs March 30th. With this kind of pre-show publicity, it should be well watched.
