Michael Phelps’ Reaction To Jimmy Fallon Impersonating Ryan Lochte At The VMAs Was Gold

You see what I did there in the headline? Phelps… gold… okay, moving on…

After revealing earlier in the evening that the song he was mean mugging to during the Olympics was Future’s “Stick Talk,” Michael Phelps sat in the audience and was tremendously amused by Jimmy Fallon’s mocking of his teammate Ryan Lochte.

“Is it too late now to say Sorry?” said Fallon, resplendent with Lochte’s blue hair. “That’s my jam. It should be my jam. I wrote that song. I wrote it. I produced it. I directed all five nominees for video of the year.”

“What an amazing year I had — it’s true. I’m the one who gave Adele the flip phone. I had a 30 way with Kanye West — I made Lemonade with Queen Bey.”

Fallon then dropped the best line when he said he couldn’t choose who should win Video of the Year, saying, “I couldn’t tell you, even if there was a gun to my head. And there isn’t. But I couldn’t choose.”

Meanwhile, Phelps was obviously eating it up, even mouthing “Oh my God” while shooting the whole thing on his phone.

I love how Phelps’ fiance Nicole Johnson just laughed into her hands. LOLochte. He may never live this down.
