Joan Rivers’ Hilarious Bit on Dating When You’re Single Is an Awesome Way to Remember Her
Ugh. One of the great comedians of all time, Joan Rivers, has passed away at the age of 81. Rivers was put in the ICU at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City following serious complications from a minor throat surgery. Sassy and wise-cracking, Rivers no-bullshit approach to comedy and celebrity life lasted long into her final years. Her daughter released this statement:
In 2013, Mic reminds us that Rivers told PBS “Screw kindness… You have to tell the truth, that’s what comedy is all about.” Because laughter uber alles, let’s remember Joan Rivers with her April 23, 1967 appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, where she talked about the difference of dating for men and women you’re single. RIP.
