‘Jurassic World’ Super Bowl Commercial Gives Us First Glimpse Of Genetically Engineered Dinosaur

Jurassic World doesn’t just feature boring 200 million year old dinosaurs. Oh no. They also have Indominus Rex that was engineered by scientists to be one badass motherfucker.

The Jurassic World website, which acts as a guide to the park, teased their new creation a few days ago. Here is the bio of Indominus Rex from the site:

We set out to make Indominus the most fearsome dinosaur ever to be displayed at Jurassic World. The genetic engineers at our Hammond Creation Lab have more than delivered. At first glance, Indominus most closely resembles a T. Rex. But its distinctive head ornamentation and ultra-tough bony osteoderms can be traced from Theropods known as Abeliosaurs. Indominus’ horns have been placed above the eye orbit through genetic material hybridized from Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops and Giganotosaurus. Fearsome indeed.

Indominus’ roar is estimated to reach 140-160db—the same as a 747 taking off and landing. And it can reach speeds of 30 mph…while confined to its enclosure. Come experience Indominus Rex for yourself beginning this summer. If you dare.

Jeez, didn’t Hammond Creation Labs see what happened to InGen with their dinos? That monster sounds like it will definitely fuck shit up.

Until Sunday, the only images of Indominus Rex was this one from the fake park site.

And this teaser, which hints that Indominus Rex probably doesn’t give a very pleasurable blow job.

During the Super Bowl a new Jurassic World trailer debuted and we finally get our first glimpse of the genetically engineered killing machine. The quick shots don’t expose it’s horny head, but you get the immediate notion that Indominus Rex is going to be a real fucking problem.

Besides the scientifically engineered dinosaur, there’s also pterosaurs flying around snatching people up and Chris Pratt with his gang of velociraptors.

Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the fourth chapter in the Jurassic Park series. Besides Pratt, the dino flick stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson and Judy Greer.

Below you will find screen shots of the Indominus Rex plus the newest Jurassic World trailer as well as the first trailer.

The park opens in theaters on June 12th, 2015.
