The season finale of Mr.Robot, the breakout hit of the summer, will not air tonight because it contains a graphic scene similar to today’s tragic shooting of a reporter and her cameraman in Virginia.

Alan Sepinwall of Hitfix.com has seen the episode in question and agrees with USA’s decision.
Having seen the "Mr. Robot" scene in question, no way anyone would be thinking about anything but Virginia tonight http://t.co/AwbulZZf6A

@youneedabath You haven't seen the episode. I have. It is absolutely the right call. It would be all anyone thought about watching it.

@SamuelAAdams Leaving sensitivity for victims/families/survivors out of it for a moment, there's also the matter of not wanting audience+

@SamuelAAdams to be distracted by the parallels. Anyone watching the Robot scene tonight would stop thinking about show and think about VA.
