MTV Has A New Show Called ‘White People’ That Explores ‘What It Means To Be White’

Everyone take a deep breath before watching this trailer for MTV’s new docu-series, White People. Deep breath. Relax. Chill. Throw on some crunchy tunes. Realize that it’s meant to be provocative and start discussions about what race means in America. Don’t be the type of anger, mouth-breathing, Hollister-wearing douchemouth who blabbers about how how white privilege doesn’t exist or whatever it is that makes douchemouths angry in the Internet comments all the time.

The new series by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas is about “five young people” confronting their racial identity as white people. Definitely looks like it exists to kick the proverbial Internet comment-section beehive.

“White People” will be released on Wednesday, July 22nd at 8/7c on MTV. Will you watch?
