If you don’t know the web series, “Next Time on Lonny,” you need to immediately go and watch Season 1 right now. Don’t pretend like you have anything better to do, I know damn well you don’t. I don’t wanna ruin it for you by explaining exactly what it’s about, so just trust me and go and watch literally any episode.
If you don’t want to take my word for it because you think I’m some weasely Jew liar, how ’bout the fact that Ben Stiller was such a big fan of the series, he gave them a whole bunch of dough to go and make Season 2 under his production company, Red Hour Films? That’s gotta count for something.
The web series just launched its second season, and while their budget’s way bigger, and their guest stars are much more famous, it’s as funny as its ever been. The first three episodes dropped yesterday, and there are seven more on the way. If you’re someone who doesn’t get comedy easily (aka an idiot), just know that yes, it’s supposed to be cheesy in the beginning, so give it a little before you bail. I can’t recommend this enough.
